Happy Wednesday -- we're halfway to the weekend! And a long weekend at that -- woohoo! A long weekend is definitely needed -- we've had some long days (yesterday we started work at 6:15, which is almost 2 hours earlier than normal...), so I'm ready for a little break! I'm hoping for some great weather, too -- not the Winter Wonderland of snow that came back to haunt us yesterday:
It snowed all day. Yuck. There wasn't much that accumulated, but still -- it's the middle of April! Go away, Winter!
By the time early-afternoon rolled around, we were pretty beat. We had already worked a full day, the weather was crappy, and I admit -- the Mr & I were extremely tempted to bail on the gym. But we didn't give in!
My legs were still sore from my strength session on Sunday, but once I got moving they weren't too bad. I spent 40 minutes on the Elliptical, and felt so much better after! I'm so glad we didn't give in and skip our workout!
I was feeling snacky after the gym, so I headed to the fridge to see what I could some up with:
Can't go wrong with a classic apple + pb! It did the trick and held me over until dinner, which was leftovers of yesterday's Simple Weeknight Spaghetti:
Just as good the second day! :)
- How do you motivate yourself to go to the gym on days that you really don't feel like exercising? Or do you just take the day off if you're not feeling it? <--- For me it depends on the reason I don't want to go: if I'm sick, or injured, I'll totally take the day off and rest up. If I'm just being lazy, I try to conjure up some motivation! :)
