Happy Thursday! Actually, I can't believe it's Thursday already -- this week is flying by!
Yesterday was non-running day at the gym -- I started off with some cardio to warm up:
20 minutes of extreme Elliptical! :) I thought about doing the Total Body Circuit that I wrote about earlier in the week, but at the last minute changed my mind:
Instead, I did 3 rounds of my beloved 7 Minute Workout app -- so good! I haven't used it in quite a while, so it was a great way to change up my workout. If you're looking for a quick, body weight workout, then I highly recommend this app! If you really go all out, it's a great workout!
When we arrived home from the gym, I was super excited to see a package on the doorstep -- because I knew what was inside it waiting to be opened:
New shoes! I was overdue for some new running shoes, and when I saw these Brooks PureCadence 2's on sale online, I had to go for it. I'm excited to give them a try on my run tomorrow!
Next up, dinner!
I made turkey burgers, and served then up with some sweet potato fries + lots of greens -- seriously delish. :)
We had yet another dark, dreary & rainy evening last night (what is up with that, August???). The Mr was out for the evening, so it was just me + the pup for some quality girl time -- in the form of a cup of tea + some reading. I know, I know -- we're party animals ;)
- Are you loyal to one brand of running shoes or do you regularly branch out and try new ones? <--- I've been pretty loyal to Mizunos for a while now, but I'm excited to try something new with the Brooks'!
